MICHR
The Michigan Institute for Clinical & Health Research (MICHR) at the University of Michigan is a research hub enabling clinical and translational science to accelerate medical discoveries, improve health outcomes, and reduce disease impact. Founded in 2006, it supports researchers through funding, education, team building, study design, and regulatory assistance, funded by an NIH CTSA grant.

Translational Science
Translational science is the field of investigation focused on understanding the scientific and operational principles underlying each step of the translational process to turn laboratory, clinic, and community observations into new, actionable health interventions (diagnostics, therapeutics, procedures, and behavioral changes). It aims to overcome common roadblocks in research to speed up the development of treatments for patients.
